Studying for a degree at the Faculty
Our Faculty also offers Masters in Teaching and Education. These Masters prepare students for the competitive examinations for primary and secondary school teaching with excellent results. All of the diplomas offered lead to clearly identified careers. A tried and tested method of support for students doing bachelor degrees and the offer of professional masters degrees promotes the insertion of our newly qualified students in the world of work.
Our dynamic international policy allows many students to spend one or several study semesters in one of our many foreign partner universities in Europe (ERASMUS), in the Asia Pacific region or in North & South America.
The Faculty of Literature, Languages, Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities also offers many double diplomas at Masters level which contributes to its international appeal. It welcomes many foreign students each year.
Its research centres (CRHIA and LIENSs) count more than 30 doctoral students in history, geography, anthropology, literature and civilisation. Doctoral students are offered a high level Doctoral Studies program in the two Doctoral Schools of the Research.
The University is situated close to the town centre and to the old Port in La Rochelle. The students can then enjoy an exceptional living and cultural environment.
